Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Billing Changes on 7/1/2010

Medicare Part D Claims will continue to be processed by Blue Cross and
Blue Shield of AL. The information for those plans are as follows:

Blue Advantage, BIN 014897, PCN MGB, Effective 7/1/2010
BlueRx, BIN 014897, PCN RPD, Effective 7/1/2010
Medicare Advantage, BIN 014897, PCN GRJ, Effective 7/1/2010
Tennessee BlueAdvantage, BIN 014906, PCN ZEG, Effective 7/1/2010

SEIB/Local Government plans will move to Prime Therapeutics effective
7/1/2010. Claim submission, reversal, and reprocessing must be sent
to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of AL for prior dates using the original
BIN. The information for these plans are as follows:

SEIB/Local Gov, BIN 004915, Effective 7/1/2010
SEIB/Local Gov, BIN 014906, Dates 1/1/2010 - 6/30/2010
Medicare D SEIB/Local Gov, BIN 014897, PCN BAA, Dates prior 1/1/2010

Commercial claims will move to Prime Therapeutics effective 7/1/2010.
Claim submission, reversal, and reprocessing must be sent to Blue
Cross and Blue Shield of AL for prior dates using the original BIN.
The information for these plans are as follows:

BCBS AL, BIN 004915, Effective 7/1/2010
BCBS AL, BIN 014906, Dates prior 7/1/2010

For each of the Insurances in your system whose BIN will be changing,
we recommend you pull up the old one, type "S" to add same, name the
one you just created the same as the existing one but note in the name
that this is the old setup. "Old" meaning the BIN and PCN setup prior
to the change. After that, go to the original vendor file and update
that BIN and PCN to the new information. By doing it this way all of
your current customers will automatically be set up on with the new
information and the only ones that you will need to change will be the
customers that require a transmission or reversal prior to the date of
the change.
