FDA Side Effects Label Requirement
A new Federal Regulation has been passed requiring you to print somewhere on your label the following statement:

Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088

You may CLICK HERE to see an electronic copy of this new regulation.

The deadline for this is January 1, 2009. This also applies to OTC items that do not have a warning message already on the packaging. This does not apply if you are dispensing to inpatients in a hospital or health care facility under an order of a licensed practitioner.

Several label companies are willing to pre-print this statement on your labels, but if you need it put on your labels until the next time you place an order, please give us a call.
